Day 3 – Wizarding World of Harry Potter, part 2
Today – we entered Islands of Adventure early, but not too early. We knew we’d be hopping the Hogwarts Express to go to the Universal side and do the trip from Diagon Alley back to Hogsmeade, so we took our time.
You’ve already walked this many steps from City Walk to get to Seussland, and you have this many more to walk before you get to Hogsmeade is what the sign should really say.
When you know you’re already there!
(this portion of Islands of Adventures was dead everyday we were there. With the water feature being closed, there didn’t seem to be much else to draw anyone. Hint: Universal – this would make a great place to expand The Wizarding World!)
We wandered around a bit before we saw the queue start forming for the Hogwarts Express, which turned into a large line really quickly. We recommend getting there about 20 min before the scheduled opening to queue up.
Kings Cross Station
First ride of the morning … and the station is empty! And because it wasn’t going to be busy, we turned right around at the turnstiles outside and rode it all again 🙂
The Exit from Hogsmeade Station has surprise – can you see them?
Back on the train brings us into London for real this time:
London
Psstt…that’s the secret entrance to Diagon Alley if you need it!
Diagon Alley in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando
The castle is full of talking portraits, and this holding area is a great place to stop and pay attention to them!
