Experience the unexpected sites and sounds of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for your next Florida Vacation @ Universal Studios
Not long ago, we came back from our second trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I had great plans of amazing video tours of all the areas and shops. I really did. But the trip didn’t quite work out the way we’d expected, and I didn’t get to do all that I had wanted to do.

However, I did put together a quick video of some of the amazing bits and pieces of smaller areas of the park that you need to make sure you see! We left out so much. But the idea is that you really need to look up, and look in, and pay attention to the details. Warner Bros. did such an amazing job with the design concept, and there is something to be seen in every nook and cranny, every shop corner, every ceiling, every rooftop. It is truly a magical world!
Where to see the amazing sites and sounds at the Wizarding Word of Harry Potter
This is no complete checklist – that’s coming soon – but other places you might want to make sure you’re watching and looking to make the most of your experience!
The Queues at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Look UP! There are some amazing scenes and architecture not typically shown in any blog/travel brochure:
And this can be said for just about every queue. There are details everywhere! In The Dragon Challenge – you can see Arthur Weasley’s Ford Anglia that Harry and Ron drove. In the Gringotts queue – not only do you see offices and people walking/talking, you get up close and personal with the goblins and an amazing set for Gringotts Bank – look around! Hogsmeade station has beautiful architecture. And if you can catch it just right, the sun coming in through the window is breathtaking:

The Rooftops in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Not just the architecture of the outside of both Hogsmeade Village and Diagon Alley, but the ceilings, as well! There is SO much to see, and such amazing staging.
The Back Alleys of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
As you can see in the video, in the alleyway leading out of Knockturn Alley, there is a fantastic display of animated wanted posters that is so lifelike, you want to reach out and touch it. Then in the alleyway behind the Animal Mengerie – there just might be some parseltongue happening! Be sure to look in the nooks and crannies. Spaces are used everywhere to give authenticity and a surprise behind every corner!

The Restaurants and Stores of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Not only is the architecture amazing, but the theming is as well! The stores are more than just places to buy things – but places to learn new bits of trivia, to see replicas of items from the movies or even to hear amazing things happening in the background.
No matter if you’re there for just half a day or a full week, be sure to take the time to look around at the magical aspects of WWOHP…not just ride the rides and eat the food. There’s so much more to it! Enjoy!
OH! Last thing — Harry Potter after Dark – absolutely stunning.
